Safe and inclusive cities is a project funded by plan international and it started 2018 the aim of this project is to make sure our cities are safe free from crime genderΒ based violenceΒ and everyone gets better livelihood , this project has three pillars
This is under the saic project l ,it is implemented by spec in kibra area @ makina and lindi village. Under this pillar, we focus mainly on safety of our riders,riders,makangas,kamageras & passengers. Our aim is to reduce cases of sexual harassment in public transport and also empower our community and the various stakeholders on the effects and implications of sexual harassment.
Due to the efficiency of SAIC 1, SAIC2 was reintroduced.Β At SPEC we have Safety and Wellbeing as our Outcome.Under this outcome we tackle SRHR and Safety, cohesion and peaceful coexistence.With SRHR we ensure that youths have access to friendly SRH services and have changed harmful social and gender norms promoting gender equality at community level.
