Slum Peace and Empowerment Center (SPEC) is a grassroots and youth-led organization founded in 2016 by a group of young people from Kibera, Nairobi. The organization formerly known as UNDUGU Family Kibera was established with a vision to unite the youth and prevent election violence, which had been a recurring issue during elections in Kibera. Recognizing the need for proactive measures, SPEC actively promotes peace, advocates against human rights abuses, and strives to build harmonious relationships within the diverse communities of Kibera.
