Climate change is a growing threat, causing extreme weather, floods, and environmental damage in Kibera. Slum Peace and Empowerment Center (SPEC) addresses these challenges by promoting community-led greening projects, waste management, and environmental education. SPEC trains youth, women, PWDs, and residents on climate action, advocates for green public spaces, and works with local leaders to influence sustainable policy decisions. Through civic engagement and partnerships, SPEC empowers communities to build climate-resilient, healthy, and thrivingΒ urbanΒ spaces.
